Middle Street, Yeovil I live in the UK and have lived in Horsham, West Sussex, and the city of Bristol. I am, however, a Somerset guy, born in Frome, and now living in Yeovil. St John's Church, Yeovil

I am a Network Manager with Social Services, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and associated physical disabilities. This is rewarding work, and the aims of my work are to encourage and support independent living, individualism and to support individual rights and choices. Andy on Dusty Chat

You will have realised that I am a keen Dusty Springfield fan (!) but I also have many other interests. One of them would be a keen interest in psychology. I believe firmly that each individual has an actualising tendency, that is, no matter what the circumstances, each human being has the inner resources to reach their own potential. The key is to tune into them!
I am a committed vegetarian, and have been for about ten years now. This is because I believe that every animal has a right to life, and I have no right to take that life away.
One of my major interests in life is that of equal opportunity. I believe that each and every person is born equal and has the right to an equality of opportunity. I am particularly committed to gay equality. Society remains discriminatory in nature, but I believe that diversity should not only be welcomed, but celebrated. Andy relaxing at home
Music is a major interest of mine, and apart from Dusty, who remains my single favourite artist, I also enjoy the music of Lulu, Cilla Black, Alison Moyet, Annie Lennox, Elkie Brooks, Kate Bush, Texas, Joan Armatrading, Tina Turner, Cher, Martha Reeves, Marianne Faithful, George Michael, Will Young and many others!
Right you can see my three nephews, Laurence, Aaron and Joseph. As you would expect from such little ones, they can be quite a handful, especially when somebody is wanting to take a photograph! My three nephews, Laurence, Aaron and Joseph

One thing I share with Dusty is a love of cats. Cats are such loyal, sensual, honest, knowing, loving, devoted and intelligent creatures. People often call them aloof and independent, but this has never been my experience.

I share my life with some four legged friends, four four legged friends in fact!

Dusty Dusty, my Lilac Point Siamese, is head of the clan. She has this need to know what the other three are up to at all times and spends most of her day rushing around after them. She was five years old in May 2002 and still clowns around like a kitten. This is in spite of the fact that she is mother to Laura Mae Jones and Tupelo Honey!
Laura Mae Jones is a silver tabby. She loves the outside and seldom comes indoors in fine weather. As soon as the temperature shifts she’s in and on my lap! Playful and excitable she’s adorable! Laura Mae Jones
Little Laura Mae Jones Laura Mae Jones showed a great interest in music, even at a very early age!

Here you can see her choosing her favourite album and insisting I play it. Even at three weeks she knew her own mind!

Tupelo Honey is a real home cat. She loves nothing else than to cuddle up with me and purr the evening away. I call her ‘half-a-cat’ because she’s so small, but don’t let this fool you! She must see herself as a lioness because she often chases next door's huge Tom off her turf! Tupelo Honey
Freud Freud is the only boy of the four. He likes to think that he’s in charge and will often chase the others about to try and assert his authority, but I am sure that they simply humour him! Before long, one of them will chase him back and he runs off in a strop!
I have a spiritual side to my nature. I believe that there is, behind and beyond all that we can see, sense and feel a greater, higher consciousness. I believe that we are all touched by the hand of the divine and that the divine, the creator behind all that we can sense and see, resides within each of us.

I am a Reiki practitioner, and you can read more about my beliefs and skills on my own website at www.AndyRobinson.biz

Buddha
Pentacle Krishna I believe in interconnectedness, that is, we are connected to all that we see, sense and feel and we are all a sum of the part.

Creation, nature, the animals and other people that you pass in the street as well as those you will never meet are part of you and you are part of them. We are, truly, family and when one hurts we all hurt.

Hopefully this gives a little insight into the invisible man behind this web site!
